Crystal Care Collection Limited is opening Heathbrea House in Camborne, Cornwall in January 2027 and is recruiting an Activities Assistant to engage residents in meaningful activities tailored to their interests.

You will lead activities, coordinate with external partners, and document progress within the home’s systems. The role includes weekend working and a 17.5-hour average per week at £13.53 per hour.

Responsabilidades

• Lead the undertaking of activities within the care home.
• Support in the absence of the Activities Manager to welcome and increase community links with organisations outside the home.
• Support in the absence of the Activities Manager to book external suppliers for entertainment and events.
• Collate photos and news items from the week’s activities for newsletters, notice boards and social media.
• Share best practice and ideas at monthly social committee meetings.
• Log and document activities at the end of each session in PCS handsets and update resident care plans.
• Engage in and advocate for the daily My Life Story and Resident of the Day schemes.
• Ensure life histories are logged in PCS front sheets and care plans.
• Encourage a resident-led culture and educate staff about resident preferences.
• Populate the Facebook page with appropriate photographs with consents.
• Be flexible in working hours to accommodate activities outside normal hours.
