Job summary

VolkerWessels UK Ltd. is seeking a part-time Finance Clerk (Accounts Receivable) to join the Central Finance team at the Hoddesdon head office.

The role focuses on producing sales ledger invoices, credit notes, cash collection and support for VAT compliance in collaboration with the Tax team. The ideal candidate has prior AR/Sales Ledger experience, strong Excel and Microsoft 365 skills, and a proactive, team-oriented approach to ensure accurate, timely financial operations.

Qualifications

• Experience in Accounts Receivable or Sales Ledger
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy
• Good Excel and 365 skills to manage ledgers and reconciliations

Responsibilities

• Produce accurate sales ledger invoices and credit notes
• Support cash collection and maintain customer accounts
• Maintain workflow documentation and records
• Build relationships with internal/external stakeholders
• Assist VAT and DRF/Reverse Charge compliance with Tax team
• Prepare KPI data and management information for Finance
• Support ad-hoc reporting and analysis
• Provide transaction analysis and documentation for VAT reviews
• Contribute to process improvements in the finance function
