Job summary

Nigel Wright Group in Gateshead is seeking a Part-Time Accounts Assistant to join our friendly finance team. You will own day-to-day ledger activities and support both sales and purchase ledgers in a varied finance role.

Hybrid working with 3 or 4 full days per week, standard hours 9am-5pm, and a pro rata benefits package, offers a balanced and rewarding opportunity for someone looking to maintain flexibility while contributing to the finance function.

Qualifications

• Experience as Accounts Assistant or similar.
• Experience across sales and purchase ledger
• Ability to manage workload and meet deadlines
• Good attention to detail and organisational skills
• Flexible for hybrid 3 or 4 days per week

Responsibilities

• Processing and maintaining the sales and purchase ledgers
• Managing customer and supplier accounts
• Chasing outstanding payments and supporting credit control activities
• Performing account reconciliations
• Investigating and resolving invoice queries
• Supporting the smooth running of the finance department across a variety of tasks
