Job description

Sewell Wallis is currently working with a rapidly growing company in Leeds, West Yorkshire, that is looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Clerk to join their finance team.

This role would be perfect for someone wanting to develop their skills within Purchase Ledger and work with an experienced finance team.

What will you be doing?
  • Managing, processing, and resolving high volume invoice queries.
  • Acting as the first point of contact for suppliers regarding questions, support, and issues.
  • Managing invoices and monitoring approval queues.
  • Working across multiple entities and currencies accurately.
  • Reconciling statements and investigating discrepancies to resolution.
  • Assisting with month-end tasks, including preparing accruals for the finance team.
  • Working to reduce debit balances and cleanse accounts to keep the ledgers up to date.
What skills are we looking for?
  • At least 2 years of Purchase Ledger, accounting, or finance experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Accuracy and strong attention to detail.
  • Experience working in a high-volume input role.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
  • Strong analytical skills combined with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Experience working within finance and audit regulations is highly advantageous.
