Job summary

Fletcher George in Weybridge is seeking a part-time Senior Accountant to join a friendly, independent firm of accountants. You will manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, delivering high-quality accounting support.

The role offers 15-30 hours per week with hybrid working and a pro rata holiday entitlement. You will prepare statutory accounts, VAT returns, and management accounts, building strong client relationships in a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• You will be ACA or ACCA qualified or qualified by experience (QBE) with previous experience gained within an accountancy practice.
• You will enjoy working closely with clients and be confident preparing statutory accounts, management accounts and VAT Returns.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts under FRS 102/FRS 105.
• Prepare quarterly management accounts.
• Submit quarterly VAT Returns.
• Build strong client relationships.
• IT knowledge of Iris or CCH is advantageous.
• Support clients using Xero and QuickBooks.
• Work with Partners to deliver excellent client service.

£40,000 - £50,000 FTE (salary guide set by Fletcher George and dependent upon relevant experience and qualifications)

Commutable from: Walton-on-Thames, Weybridge, Chertsey, Esher, Cobham and the surrounding areas.

The Role

You will manage a varied portfolio of owner-managed businesses, providing high-quality accounting support including:

• Preparation of statutory accounts under FRS 102 and FRS 105.
• Preparation of some Quarterly Management accounts.
• Quarterly VAT Returns.
• Building strong client relationships.
• IT knowledge of Iris or CCH is advantageous
• Supporting clients using cloud based technologies such as Xero and QuickBooks.
• Working closely with the Partners to deliver an excellent client service.

This role does not include payroll.
