Job summary

Anderson Knight is recruiting a Part Qualified Assistant Accountant to join the finance team within a well-established organisation in the UK. This role is ideal for someone progressing towards ACCA or CIMA, eager to build on experience in a supportive, commercially focused finance environment.

You will work closely with the wider finance team, supporting day-to-day accounting activities and gaining exposure to a broad range of accounting processes while developing your career toward full

Qualifications

• Part qualified ACCA/CIMA or actively studying with commitment.
• Experience in an accounts or finance role.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles.
• Strong Excel skills and financial data handling.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts and financial reports.
• Support with month-end and year-end accounting processes.
• Prepare and post journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Assist with balance sheet reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support the purchase ledger and sales ledger processes where required.
• Assist with cashbook management and bank reconciliations.
• Help maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records.
• Provide support with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Assist with audit preparation and provide information as required.
• Work closely with other departments to resolve finance-related queries.
• Contribute to improving processes and ensuring financial procedures are followed.
• Undertake any other duties within the finance function.
