Job summary

Anderson Knight is recruiting for a PQ Accountant for our well-established client in Scotland. You will prepare accounts for a range of clients, assist with management accounts and financial reporting, and support VAT compliance.

Based on-site, this role is ideal for an accounting professional looking to develop further and progress toward AAT or ACCA qualifications.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of experience in an accountancy practice.
• Experience preparing accounts for clients.
• Solid knowledge of accounting principles and processes.
• Good IT skills including MS Excel.

Responsibilities

• Prepare accounts for a range of clients.

Anderson Knight is recruiting for our well-established client, who are looking to add a PQ Accountant to their growing team. The Role

As a PQ Accountant, your responsibilities will include:

• Preparing accounts for a range of clients
• Assisting with management accounts and financial reporting
• Preparing VAT returns and supporting with tax compliance
• Completing bookkeeping and maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with year-end accounts and audit work where required
• Liaising with clients to obtain relevant financial information
• Supporting senior members of the team with a variety of accounting duties
• Ensuring all work is completed accurately and within agreed deadlines
• Developing strong relationships with clients and providing a professional service
• On Site/Office Based

About You

We are looking for someone who is motivated, organised and keen to progress their career within accountancy. You should have:

• At least 1 year's experience working within an accountancy practice
• Experience preparing accounts for clients
• Good knowledge of accounting principles and processes
• Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to work
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• The ability to manage your own workload and meet deadlines
• Good IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and accounting software
• A willingness to learn and develop professionally
• Ideally, you will be studying towards an accounting qualification such as AAT or ACCA and keen to progress with completing your qualifications.
