Job summary

M&G is seeking an experienced actuary to join the Liabilities Valuation team within the Actuarial Model and Valuations function. The role focuses on valuation of UK Life and Pensions liabilities, including annuities, with-profits and unit-linked products, and requires experience of regulatory reporting standards.

You will develop understanding of non-profit annuity products, yield calculations, and document and present results to key stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Excellent technical actuarial knowledge with attention to detail.
• Strong problem solving and practical solution skills.
• Commercial aptitude and collaboration skills are essential.
• Ability to communicate complex actuarial issues clearly.

Responsibilities

• Provide high quality service to stakeholders within approved frameworks.
• Interpret and deliver outputs with defined discretion.
• Propose improvements based on experience and past cases.
• Explain changes in matching adjustment assumptions and liabilities to stakeholders.
• Support the manager on key deliverables and strategic projects.
• Provide technical expertise for design of solutions within Finance Reporting.
