Job summary

M&G is seeking a qualified actuary to join our Finance team in the UK to analyse IFRS engine outputs for Life insurance and report on IFRS17 changes. The role emphasizes actuarial analysis, financial statement disclosures, and collaboration across Risk, Audit and Group Finance.

You will support external audits, maintain robust internal controls, and contribute to process improvements while benefiting from flexible working and development opportunities.

Qualifications

• An actuarial qualification (e.g., FIA, FFA) is required.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint.

Responsibilities

• Analyse IFRS engine outputs and operating/non-operating profit.
• Analyse IFRS 17 adjustments to the engine output to be loaded to the Results Store.
• Calculate deferred tax impact of IFRS 17.
• Prepare the Actuarial note disclosures for the Financial Statements.
• Support the external audit process and respond to audit queries.
• Collaborate with Finance and other teams across M&G Finance.
• Ad hoc tasks and process improvements to enhance controls.
