Job summary

MCS Group in Belfast city centre is partnering with a rapidly growing practice to recruit a Newly Qualified/Qualified Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. The firm offers a supportive environment with exposure to diverse clients and services.

You will manage a client portfolio, undertake cash forecasting, budgeting, statutory and management accounts, and VAT/tax returns. ACA/ACCA holders or QBE are encouraged to apply, with clear progression toward Director and a competitive package.

Qualifications

• ACA/ACCA qualification or QBE option for accounting roles.
• Experience managing a client portfolio.
• Familiar with cloud-based accounting software.
• Exposure to Accounts, Tax and VAT services.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of clients.
• Prepare statutory and management accounts.
• Handle cash forecasting and budgeting.
• Complete tax and VAT returns.

Job Duties of the Newly Qualified Accountant/Qualified include:

• Managing a portfolio of clients
• Cash forecasting, budgeting
• Preparation of Accounts (statutory and management)
• Tax returns
• VAT returns
• Some Payroll
• Dealing with clients fully end to end

What You Need to be the Successful Newly Qualified Accountant/Qualified?

• ACA/ACCA Qualified or QBE
• Previous experience managing a client portfolio
• Familiar with cloud based accounting systems
• Exposure to a range of services including Accounts, Tax, and VAT
• Strong understanding of a mixed practice role
• Eagerness to learn and develop professionally
• Good time management and planing skills
