Job summary

Anderson Knight is recruiting for its client, a well-established accountancy practice based in Lanarkshire, for a Part Qualified Accountant to join their growing team. You will prepare statutory and management accounts, VAT returns and personal and corporate tax computations while managing your own portfolio of clients.

The role offers exposure to advisory work, including business planning, forecasting and budgeting, with opportunities to mentor junior colleagues and develop accounting software

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards ACCA qualification.
• Strong experience preparing accounts within practice.
• Good knowledge of accounts, tax and VAT.
• Experience with Sage and IRIS accounting software.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts from client records through to Partner review.
• Review work completed by junior team members and provide guidance.
• Prepare and review corporation tax returns and CT600s.
• Prepare and review VAT returns for clients.
• Prepare and review personal tax computations.
• Manage and develop relationships across a varied portfolio of clients with Partners.
• Involve in advisory projects such as business planning, forecasting and budgeting.
• Ensure work is completed accurately within deadlines.
