Job summary

Anderson Knight is seeking an ambitious Assistant Management Accountant to join a well-established North Lanarkshire finance team. The role supports monthly management accounts and the close process while offering study support for ACCA or CIMA and strong development opportunities.

You'll work in a collaborative environment with exposure to budgeting, forecasting, balance sheet reconciliations and variance analysis, in a hybrid setting.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards ACCA or CIMA.
• Experience in a management accounting or finance environment.
• Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
• Confident using Microsoft Excel and finance systems.
• Able to manage priorities and deadlines.
• Proactive team player with excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts.
• Support the month-end close process, including journals, accruals and prepayments.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations and investigate any discrepancies.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Prepare financial reports and provide insight to support business decision-making.
• Support cash flow reporting and other finance-related analysis.
• Work closely with colleagues across the business to ensure accurate financial information.
• Assist with process improvements and contribute to the continuous development of finance procedures.
• Provide support with year-end audit requirements and other ad hoc finance projects.
