Job summary

Anderson Knight is recruiting for its client, a well-established accountancy practice based in Lanarkshire, for a Part Qualified Accountant to join their growing team.

This is a great opportunity for an ambitious accountant who is looking to develop their career within practice and gain exposure to a varied portfolio of clients. You will work with sole traders, limited companies, partnerships and not-for-profit organisations across sectors and sizes.

Qualifications

• Currently studying towards ACCA.
• Strong experience preparing accounts in practice.
• Good knowledge of accounts, tax and VAT.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Sage and IRIS accounting software.
• Audit experience would be advantageous.
• Proactive approach and ability to support juniors.

Responsibilities

• Prepare statutory accounts from client records through to Partner review.
• Review work completed by junior team members.
• Prepare and review corporation tax returns and CT600s.
• Prepare and review VAT returns.
• Prepare and review personal tax computations.
• Develop relationships across a varied portfolio of clients with Partners.
• Provide guidance to junior team members.
• Engage in advisory projects like budgeting and tax planning.
• Ensure work is completed accurately within deadlines.
