Job summary

Go Swag in Glasgow HQ (Hillington) is looking for a part-qualified Accountant to keep the money side of the business running cleanly. You’ll handle invoices, reconciliations, and month-end tasks under the Finance Controller, with on-the-job training for our merch processes.

We value good judgement, clear communication with suppliers and customers, and the ability to raise questions when needed. Exams can continue while you contribute to a growing startup.

Qualifications

• Part-qualified or equivalent accounting/bookkeeping experience.
• Ability to work with high volumes of invoices and reconciliations.
• Ability to explain discrepancies clearly to non-finance colleagues.
• Good judgement and question-raising when needed.

Responsibilities

• Process supplier invoices and match to orders; resolve queries.
• Raise customer invoices on time and chase payments.
• Reconcile bank accounts and control accounts; flag discrepancies.
• Support month-end with journals, prepayments and accruals.
• Learn merch order flows from quote to customer invoice.
• Progress to greater month-end ownership as exams advance.
