Maldon District Council is seeking a Parks & Countryside Officer to join the team maintaining Maldon Promenade Park.

The role covers duties from litter collection to grounds maintenance, hedge trimming, and weed control, with a focus on keeping public spaces safe and presentable.

Qualifications

• Lone working with minimal supervision.
• Ability to drive vehicles up to 3.5t.
• Experience in grounds maintenance or park upkeep.

Responsibilities

• Emptying bins and litter picking.
• Sweeping pathways and grass cutting.
• Hand-weeding shrub beds and hedge trimming.
• Grounds maintenance and street cleansing.
• Weed spraying and driving ride-along mower.
• Comfortable with lone working and outdoors.

Job description

As a Parks & Countryside Officer, you will join a dedicated team in maintaining and improving public spaces and scenery throughout Maldon Promenade Park.

Duties include but are not limited to;

• Emptying Bins
• Litter Picking
• Sweeping of Pathways
• Grass Cutting
• Hand-weeding of Shrub Beds
• Hedge Trimming
• Grounds Maintenance
• Street Cleansing
• Weed Spraying
• Driving vehicles such as ride-along mower
• Comfortable with lone working
• Full UK Licence - up to 3.5t

Hours

Monday-Thursday, 07:00-17:00

Friday: 07:00-15:30
