Fixed Term/Secondment for 23 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Nurse Specialist to care for individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease within the Neurosciences department. The post holder will focus on symptom management, with particular attention to mental health, supporting those across Tayside, NE Fife, Angus, and P&K who require assistance related to Parkinson’s Disease.
We seek an empathetic, dynamic nurse capable of working alongside a small, experienced team. This role is vital in delivering Gold Standard Care across Tayside. The post involves collaboration with other Trusts and sectors to provide holistic care in Scotland, aligning with the Neurological Standards for long-term health needs.
The ideal candidate will be a person-centered professional with a passion for high-quality care and a background in Mental Health. Applicants should have significant post-registration experience, particularly in Mental Health, to meet the key requirements of this role. Candidates are encouraged to possess or be working towards a postgraduate qualification, or demonstrate equivalent experience.
Preference will be given to those with education or experience at Masters Level or higher, and a qualification in, or working towards, non-medical prescribing.
Applicants not meeting the Clinical Nurse Specialist criteria are welcome to apply for the trainee role, where they will receive support and training to develop the necessary competencies. Annex 21 Para 2 (ii) of the Agenda for Change terms and conditions applies until the completion of the training program.
