Fixed Term/Secondment for 23 months
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an individual to work as a Clinical Nurse Specialist caring for those living with Parkinson’s Disease within the department of Neurosciences. The post holder will deliver care focusing on symptom management with a specific focus on mental health for those across Tayside, NE Fife, Angus and P&K who require support relating to Parkinson’s Disease.
We are seeking an empathetic, dynamic Nurse who can work alongside a small experienced team. This position will be key in providing Gold Standard Care across Tayside. The post holder will work closely with other Trusts and sectors to provide holistic care within Scotland to meet the needs required and laid out in the Neurological Standards for those with long term health needs.
We are looking for an experienced, person centred individual with a passion for delivering a high standard of care with a knowledge in Mental Health.
Applicants should have evidence of significant post registration professional practice with particular knowledge and experience working within the field of Mental Health to undertake and fulfil the key areas required for this post. Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified and experienced staff that already possess or are working towards a post graduate qualification, or can demonstrate significant equivalent experience.
Ideally applicants should be educated or working towards Masters Level or have the ability to demonstrate working at this level within the appropriate clinical field as well as a qualification in, or working towards a qualification in non medical prescribing.
Candidates who do not meet the Clinical Nurse Specialist criteria are welcome to apply for the trainee role and will be fully supported to undertake the required education and supervised practice to develop the competence to work as an Clinical Nurse Specialist. Annex 21 Para 2 (ii) of the Agenda for change terms and conditions will apply until successful completion of the Clinical Nurse Specialist training programme.
