Job summary

Away Resorts at Cleethorpes Pearl Holiday Park is seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead the Maintenance & Hot Tubs team, ensuring the park and accommodation are kept in tip-top condition and looking spectacular. You will repair, maintain, renew, and improve everything from entrance signage to the back fence, with seniority and a full driving licence.

You’ll report to the Guest Experience Manager and manage capital expenditure programs, health & safety compliance, and contractor supervision.

• Experience of managing a team of trades and general assistants.
• An understanding of Health & Safety at work.
• Driving licence is essential.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Maintenance & Hot Tubs team to keep the park and accommodation in top condition.
• Manage maintenance jobs from replacing light bulbs to repairing locks.
• Carry out maintenance checks on changeover days and work with other trades.
• Keep Health and Safety systems up to date for guest safety.
• Manage the fleet of Hot Tubs and keep them safe and working.
• Nominate contractors and monitor quality and cost competitiveness.
• Lead Capital Expenditure Programmes and keep projects on budget.
• Be proactive and see jobs through to completion.
• Be available for bank holidays, evenings and weekends when required.

Location: Cleethorpes Pearl Holiday Park

Location: Whitecliff Bay, Bembridge, Isle of Wight

Hours:Permanent Contract - 40 hours per week

Remuneration: £35,000 per annum

What we need in a nutshell

We need someone who will lead the team that keep our accommodation, and the holiday park, in tip-top condition and looking spectacular, repairing, maintaining, renewing, and improving everything from the entrance signage to the back fence. You will have management experience along with a full driving licence.

What you’ll be doing

As part of our team of holiday heroes, you will manage the Maintenance & Hot Tubs team to ensure everything is in good working order and reporting into the GuestExperience Manager. Your work will include:

• Completing and allocating maintenance jobs; everything from replacing light bulbs to troubleshooting faulty locks.
• Carrying out maintenance checks and repairs on changeover days, working with other tradespeople when necessary.
• Ensuring our Health and Safety system and checks are kept up to date so our park is safe for our Guests.
• Managing our fleet of Hot Tubs, keeping them safe and working at all times.
• Nominating contractors and keeping their records up to date, checking quality of work and ensuring our prices are competitive.
• Taking a lead role and executing Capital Expenditure Programmes on track and within budget.
• Genuine drive to see the jobs through to completion.
• Pretty much anything else that other people can’t do!

Guests and staff will look to you to fix what’s broken and restore order, so you will need to be confident, friendly and obliging in addition to your practical skills.

One more thing...holidays happen at holiday times, so you’ll need to work your magic on bank holidays, evenings and weekends too.

Skills, experience and qualities you’ll need

We will train you, but you’ll need to have the following skills and experience to apply for this role:

• Experience of managing a team of trades and general assistants.
• An understanding of Health & Safety at work
• Driving licence is essential.
