Job summary

Away Resorts is seeking a Park Safety Assistant at Sandy Balls, part of our UK resort network. You will help keep guests safe and welcome, handling check-in, patrolling the park, and responding in emergencies both day and night.

We provide full training and induction; shifts run 2:00pm–2:00am, with bank holidays and weekends included. A positive, flexible attitude and guest-focus are essential for this role.

Qualifications

• Full Driving Licence.
• Customer service skills to warmly assist guests.

Responsibilities

• Welcome guests to the park and assist with check-in.
• Prepare welcome packs in support of Guest Services.
• Patrol the park on foot and by vehicle, monitor perimeters, and ensure safe parking.
• Carry out facilities checks and head counts.
• Assist guests with out-of-hours needs, including power trips and linen requests.
• Cover the Security Phone from 2:00am to 8:30am, with a call-out incentive if required.

This is not a typical park safety role. It's much better! Based at the beautiful location of Sandy Balls, you will be keeping our holiday makers secure as well as helping them out when they need assistance.

We need you to deliver delight by being the person our holidays makers can rely upon day and night, keeping them safe and being there when they need help.

What you'll be doing

Working as part of our team of holiday heroes, you will be part of the team that makes sure the park is secure and safe at night and day. You will be a reassuring presence for guests, and you'll be there in an emergency. It's a varied and exciting job with responsibilities that include:

What You'll Be Doing

• Welcoming guests to our park and assisting with check-in.
• Supporting Guest Services by preparing welcome packs.
• Patrolling the park by foot and vehicle - checking perimeters, ensuring vehicles are parked correctly and secure, and making sure guests feel safe.
• Carrying out facilities checks and head counts.
• Assisting guests with out-of-hours needs - from a power trip or extra linen, to delivering gas when required.
• Covering the Security Phone from 2:00am - 8:30am for any emergencies, with a call-out incentive available if required.

The average shift will run from 2:00pm - 2:00am, where you'll play a key role in keeping the park safe, secure, and welcoming for our guests throughout the evening and night.

And who knows what else you may find yourself doing. As long as you're happy to help even when it's 'not your job,' you're our sort of person.

One more thing...holidays happen at holiday times, so you will need to work your magic on bank holidays and weekends too.

Skills, experience, and qualities you'll need.

This is a great role for the right person, and we will provide full training and induction, so lots of experience is not as important as the right attitude. The only 'must-haves' are.
