Job summary

Manchester City Council is seeking a Park Ranger to build strong community links, develop Park Plans and lead city parks initiatives. You will engage with Friends of the Parks groups, park users and councillors to shape programmes and activations across the parks and green spaces you cover.

The role emphasises community involvement, event leadership and collaboration with cross‑department teams to deliver high‑quality public spaces in Manchester.

Responsibilities

• Foster strong relationships with Friends of the Parks groups, Park Users, MCC colleagues, and Elected Members.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for stakeholder enquiries and act in meetings.
• Lead on community events and activities throughout Parks and Green Spaces.
• Develop and update Park Plans with meaningful community input.
• Collaborate across Parks team and external partners to create welcoming spaces.
