Job summary

Manchester City Council is seeking an Estate Officer for Parks to maintain high quality standards across park spaces and buildings. You will inspect facilities, carry out maintenance tasks, and engage with residents to deliver welcoming environments for visitors.

You will join the Parks Service and contribute to keeping parks safe, clean and green, with a focus on delivering excellent visitor experiences in Manchester.

Qualifications

• Demonstrates an understanding of the views of others and communicates in a realistic and practical manner using appropriate language and medium, listens attentively to views and issues of others.

Responsibilities

• Maintain high quality standards and ensure parks and green spaces are clean, safe and green. Deliver a positive experience for visitors.
• Inspect parks, play areas and buildings and undertake maintenance tasks to meet required quality standards.
• Maintain internal and external appearance of buildings and surrounding areas, reporting issues and following works through to completion.
• Engage with residents and park users, liaising with Parks Service, other councils and external partners to deliver high standards.
• Contribute to creating welcoming environments and promoting Manchester's parks and green spaces.
