Hillingdon Council is recruiting a Parenting Programmes Coordinator on a fixed-term contract until March 2029 to shape and deliver parenting support borough-wide, working with families, schools, and partners to boost children's development and readiness for school.
The role emphasizes engaging diverse families, coaching practitioners, monitoring outcomes, and developing a borough-wide offer in partnership with Family Hubs and community organisations.
At Hillingdon, we recognise that parents are their child's first and most important educators. The conversations they have, the encouragement they give and the experiences they create at home play a vital role in shaping a child's future.
We're looking for a Parenting Programmes Coordinator to join us on a fixed-term contract until March 2029, helping to shape and deliver parenting support that gives children the best possible start in life.
This is an exciting opportunity to help shape and deliver parenting support across the borough, working directly with families and professionals to improve outcomes for young children. You'll play a key role in helping parents build confidence, develop new skills and create positive home learning experiences that support children's development and readiness for school.
By strengthening parenting support and promoting effective Home Learning Environments, you'll contribute towards our ambition of ensuring more children achieve a Good Level of Development by age five.
This is not a role that's solely focused on delivering programmes. We need someone who can engage families, build partnerships, influence practice and champion the importance of parenting support across Hillingdon.
You are passionate about improving outcomes for children through supporting parents and carers.
You understand that positive change happens through strong relationships, effective communication and practical support. You are confident working with families, practitioners and partners, and can inspire others to contribute to a shared vision.
