Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide is recruiting a Collection & Delivery Driver for our London East depot. You will organise parcels, plan routes, perform vehicle safety checks and deliver to homes and businesses with excellent service.

The role involves 38-hour weeks with overtime and several shift options. Starting salary is £25,201 with potential progression after six months to £26,758, plus allowances and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5 tonnes) with up to 6 penalty points.
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30 kg.

Contract Type: Permanent

Working hours: 38 Full time hours per week with opportunity for overtime. We have various shift patterns available which will be discussed at interview:

OPTION ONE: Wednesday to Saturday, 07:45 - 17:15

OPTION TWO: Monday to Friday, 08:00 - 15:36

OPTION THREE: Tuesday to Saturday, 08:00 - 15:36

Location: Parcelforce London East, Hornet Way Beckton, London, E6 7FF

Starting salary: £25,201 (£12.71 p/h)

After 6 months: £26,758 (£13.49 p/h)

Plus:

• £824 annual allowance (pro rata)
• Nightshift allowance
• Outer London weighting of £3,350 a year

Total package: up to £30,000 per year, including excellent benefits (based on a 38-hour week + overtime)

• Carry our vehicle safety checks
• Collect and deliver parcels to households and businesses – from birthday presents to vital business information – providing excellent customer service with every delivery
