Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide Gatwick, Crawley, is hiring a 38-hour-per-week Delivery Operative. You will sort parcels, plan routes, carry out vehicle safety checks, and deliver to homes and businesses.

Starting salary £25,201 per year with potential to rise to £30,000 with overtime; benefits include pension, holiday allowance from 22.5 days, medical cover, uniform and My Bundle+.

Qualifications

• Full manual UK driving licence (Cat B) with up to 6 points.
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg.
• Friendly, dependable and customer focused.
• Comfortable working independently but a strong team player.

Contract: Permanent

Hours: 38 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. We have various shift patterns including: Tuesday to Saturday, Wednesday to Sunday & Monday, Wednesday to Saturday which will be discussed at interview.

• Starting salary: £25,201 per year £12.71 per hour
• After 6 months: £27,561 per year £13.94 per hour
• Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year, (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)
• Saturday & Sunday Weekend Premium +£4.39 (Saturdays) & +£6.58 (Sundays) applied to contracted hours
• Paid weekday and weekend overtime
• Additional Allowances:
• Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)
• Weekly Driving Allowance (£26.73 weekly)

What We’re Looking For

• A full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg
• Someone who’s friendly, dependable, and customer focused
• Comfortable working independently but also a great team player
• Looking for a stable, long-term role in a growing organisation
