Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide is seeking a delivery operative for Chelmsford. The role involves sorting parcels, planning delivery routes, performing vehicle safety checks, and delivering parcels to homes and businesses.

We’re looking for a full UK driving licence (Cat B), the ability to lift up to 30 kg, and a customer-focused, reliable team player who can work well independently and in a team. The position is permanent with overtime options and weekend premiums.

Contract: Permanent
Hours: 38 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. Typical attendance is Monday to Friday, 08:42 - 16:18.
Location: Parcelforce Worldwide North Essex, Springfield Business Park, Chelmsford, CM2 5AE

Why this role pays off

• Starting salary: £25,201 per year (£12.71 per hour)
• After 6 months: £27,561 per year (£13.94 per hour)
• Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)
• Saturday & Sunday Weekend Premium +£4.39 (Saturdays) & +£6.58 (Sundays) applied to contracted hours
• Paid weekday and weekend overtime
• Additional Allowances:
  • Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)
  • Weekly Driving Allowance (£26.73 weekly)
