Job summary

Parcelforce Worldwide Ipswich is seeking a Delivery Driver to join our team. You will sort parcels, plan routes, and carry out vehicle safety checks while delivering to homes and businesses.

We offer a starting salary of £25,201 with overtime and progression to £30,000, overtime paid, and a comprehensive package including pension and holidays.

Qualifications

• A full manual UK driving licence (Cat B) registered to your address.
• No more than 6 points on licence and DCQC accreditation (Cat C1 optional).
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg.

Responsibilities

• Sorting parcels and planning efficient delivery routes.
• Carrying out essential vehicle safety checks.
• Collecting and delivering parcels to homes and businesses.

Hours: 38 hours per week, with opportunities for overtime. Typical attendance is (add in working schedule)

Why this role pays off:

Starting salary: £25,201 per year £12.71 per hour

After 6 months: £27,561 per year £13.94 per hour

Opportunity to earn up to £30,000 per year, (based on a 38 hour week & overtime)

Saturday & Sunday Weekend Premium +£4.39 (Saturdays) & +£6.58 (Sundays) applied to contracted hours

Paid weekday and weekend overtime

Additional Allowances:

• Monthly Non Pensionable Addition to Pay (£903.84 per year)
• Weekly Driving Allowance (£26.73 weekly)
• Weekly Driving Allowance (£78.56 weekly)

Plus:

Inner London weighting (+£5,821 per year) / Outer London weighting (+£3,451 per year)

What we're looking for

• A full manual UK driving licence (Cat B up to 3.5t) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points
• A full manual UK driving licence (Cat C1 up to 7.5tonnes) registered to your current address, with no more than 6 points and DCQC accreditation
• Ability to lift and carry parcels up to 30kg
• Someone who's friendly, dependable, and customer focused
• Comfortable working independently but also a great team player
• Looking for a stable, long-term role in a growing organisation
