Job summary

Royal Mail in the Midlands Super Hub is seeking a proactive Outfeed operative to manage parcels leaving the hub. You will operate tipper and boom conveyors, depalletise, scan Yorks, and ensure barcodes face upwards.

This hands-on role requires lifting up to 11kg bags and 30kg parcels, pushing Yorks up to 250kg, and standing for long periods. Training is provided, and punctuality and reliability are essential in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and reliable in a fast-paced environment.
• Capable of lifting mail bags up to 11 kg and parcels up to 30 kg.
• Able to push trolleys/yorks up to 250 kg.
• Able to stand and walk for long periods.
• No previous experience needed; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Operate tipper and boom conveyors to place parcels onto the automated system.
• Depalletise and move pallets into holding areas using MHE.
• Scan Yorks and ensure parcels are correctly placed with barcodes facing upwards.
• Operate small and large chutes to sort parcels into Yorks for despatch.
• Label and move full Yorks.
• Replace full containers with empty ones to keep the system flowing.

• Operating small and large chutes to sort parcels into Yorks ready for despatch
• Labelling and moving full Yorks
• Replacing full containers with empty ones to keep the system flowing
