Pertemps is recruiting for Parcel Sorters in Northampton to support Royal Mail’s Midlands Super Hub. This temporary role pays £13.69 per hour with weekend shifts and full training provided. You will sort, scan, load, unload and despatch parcels, while keeping a tidy, safe workspace and complying with site procedures.

No prior experience is required; reliable and punctual applicants who can stand/walk for long periods are preferred. Additional shifts may arise during peak times.

We’re currently looking for reliable Parcel Sorters who are available to work weekend shifts.

This is a temporary, hands‑on role within a busy parcel operation, with additional shifts potentially available during busier periods.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Sorting and scanning parcels
• Loading and unloading parcels and pallets
• Moving parcels around the warehouse
• Preparing parcels and containers for despatch
• Keeping your work area safe and organised

What We’re Looking For

No previous experience is needed as training is provided. You’ll need to:

• Be available to work weekends
• Be reliable, punctual and comfortable in a fast‑paced environment
• Be happy standing and walking for long periods
• Be able to handle mail bags up to 11kg and parcels up to 30kg
• Be comfortable switching between different warehouse tasks

Pay Rates

Rates vary depending on shift times, from £13.69 for mornings and days to £16.44 per hour for nights. Pay rates to be confirmed once a shift pattern is agreed.

Shift Patterns (Earlies and Lates available)

• Friday 0545 or 1400 start times
• Saturday 0545 or 1900 start times
• Sunday 0600 or 1800 start times
