Job summary

Staffline in Hemington (UK) is seeking a Parcel Sorter Agent to join our logistics client. You will sort parcels by destination, scan and label items with handheld devices, and load/unload from conveyors and vehicles in a fast-paced environment.

This temp-to-perm role offers full training, PPE and uniform provided, and good transport links. Overtime opportunities are available, and you will work shifts that may include evenings and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Sorting parcels and freight according to destination, route, or service level.
• Scan, label, and process items using handheld and fixed scanning equipment.
• Load and unload packages from conveyor belts, cages, pallets, and vehicles.
• Ensure parcels are handled safely, securely, and in line with procedures.
• Identify and report damaged, missing, or misrouted items.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area at all times.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to meet operational targets.
• Follow health & safety guidelines and company policies at all times.

A great opportunity to work as a Parcel Sorter Agent with our client, who is the world's leading logistics provider.

Shift patterns are as follows:

• Sunday - 18:00pm - 04:30am, Monday - Thursday - 21:00pm - 05:00am
• Monday - Friday - 21:30pm - 06:00am
• Monday - Friday - 21:00pm - 05:30am
• Monday - Friday - 17:00pm - 01:30am
• Monday - Friday - 13:00pm - 21:30pm
• Friday/Monday - 21:00pm - 05:30am, Saturday - 19:00pm - 05:30am, Sunday - 18:00pm - 04:30am

Your Time at Work

During your time as a Parcel Sorter Agent you will be responsible for:

• Sorting parcels and freight according to destination, route, or service level
• Scan, label, and process items using handheld and fixed scanning equipment
• Load and unload packages from conveyor belts, cages, pallets, and vehicles
• Ensure parcels are handled safely, securely, and in line with operational procedures
• Identify and report damaged, missing, or misrouted items
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area at all times
