Job summary

Royal Mail is looking for a Parcel Delivery Driver for a fixed-term contract in Manchester. The role involves delivering parcels across the assigned area on a 30-hour week with shifts in the afternoon and early evening, Monday to Sunday as required by local rota.

You will represent Royal Mail with a focus on excellent customer service. Candidates must hold a full UK manual driving licence (max 6 points) and be prepared to work Saturdays and Sundays.

Qualifications

• Must have a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points.
• Willingness to work Saturdays and Sundays as part of local rota.
• Excellent customer service and positive representation of Royal Mail.

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels across the assigned area on the route.
• Work 30 hours per week, mainly afternoons/evenings (14:30–20:30).
• Hold and drive a company vehicle safely and professionally.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you’re expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
