Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Parcel Delivery Driver in St Helens Delivery Office. This role is a fixed-term contract for 6 months, offering 30 hours per week with shifts between 2pm and 8pm, including Sunday work per rota.

You will prep your van, use route-planning tools and deliver parcels with a focus on great customer service. Applicants should hold a full UK manual driving licence (no more than 6 penalty points).

Responsibilities

• Deliver parcels across the assigned area and load the van for the day.
• Prepping your van and workload for the day and using route planning tools.
• Deliver much more than parcels and act as a positive ambassador for Royal Mail.
• Work across Monday to Sunday as per local rota, including Sunday shifts.
• Ensure deliveries are accurate and on time for customers.

Job type: Fixed Term contract (6 months)

Hours: 30:00 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday - Sunday, working between 2pm-8pm.

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Sunday, according to a local rota/plan between 10:30am-4:30pm.

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
