Job summary

Royal Mail is seeking a Parcel Delivery Driver in Rotherham to join a team responsible for delivering parcels to customers across the area. The role involves preparing your van, planning routes, and delivering efficiently while providing friendly customer service.

The position is a fixed-term contract for 6 months, with 30 hours per week across afternoons and weekends, including Saturday and Sunday on a local rota. A valid UK driving licence with up to 6 points is required.

Qualifications

• Full UK manual driving licence with up to 6 penalty points.
• Ability to deliver parcels with a high standard of customer service.
• Comfortable working independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepping your van and workload for each day.

Job type: Fixed Term contract (6 months)
Hours: 30:00 hours per week, working 5 days across Monday - Sunday, working between 7am-4pm or 2pm-8pm

Due to operational demand, you will be required to work Saturday and Sunday, according to a local rota/plan.

A bit about you

• Upbeat, self-motivated and thrive whilst working independently

• Happy to work in the afternoon and early evenings
• Enjoy a multi drop driving role, delivering parcels across the week in the assigned area
• Possess a full UK manual driving licence with no more than 6 penalty points

Please note: For candidate search purposes, roles offering between 35-37 hours per week are listed as full-time. However, any role under 37 hours per week will be classified as part-time in the employment contract.

As a Parcel Delivery Driver, you're expected to securely deliver all items on your route, including handling and delivering election materials and certain items (such as food products or alcohol) in line with Royal Mail business standards.
