Job summary

FindCore are assisting an award-winning financial planning firm with the recruitment of a Paraplanner based in Boston Spa, Wetherby. This permanent, full-time role offers on-site parking and a competitive package.

You will provide technical paraplanning support to Financial Planners, conduct research, prepare Plans and Suitability Reports, and ensure compliance and quality standards. The ideal candidate has 18 months+ paraplanner experience, Level 4 Diploma or higher, and strong report-writing

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 months' experience within a Paraplanner or similar financial planning role.
• Level 4 Diploma qualification or higher.
• Good understanding of the financial planning process and associated compliance requirements.
• Strong report-writing, research and analytical skills.
• Good technical knowledge across financial planning products, particularly pensions.
• Comfortable working with financial planning, modelling and back-office software.
• Experience supporting high-net-worth clients would be advantageous.
• Strong communication, organisation and attention to detail.
• Desire to progress towards Chartered or Certified Financial Planner status would be beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical paraplanning support to Financial Planners.
• Carry out research and analysis based on individual client needs and objectives.
• Prepare Financial Plans and Suitability Reports.
• Collate supporting documentation for recommendations and provider selection.
• Attend client meetings where required, taking notes and following up on agreed actions.
• Manage workflows, tasks and case progression.
• Ensure all work meets compliance, risk and quality standards.
• Liaise with clients and providers regarding technical queries and ongoing cases.
