About the Company:
Our client is an established financial planning practice based in Knutsford, Cheshire, providing a professional and client-focused service. They are looking to appoint an experienced Paraplanner to join their team and provide high-quality technical and financial planning support to the Advisers.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Paraplanner with strong report writing skills who enjoys taking ownership of cases and working closely with Advisers and the wider administration team.
Key Responsibilities:
As a Paraplanner, your responsibilities will include:
- Preparing clear, compliant and client-focused suitability reports
- Providing technical support to Advisers and assisting with financial planning strategies
- Analysing existing client arrangements and identifying opportunities to enhance current plans
- Supporting cases from initial instruction through to completion
- Working closely with the administration team to ensure applications are processed accurately and efficiently
- Monitoring submitted business and liaising with product providers where required
- Ensuring client files and back-office systems are maintained accurately
- Preparing cashflow models using Voyant
- Conducting research and analysis using Financial Express Analytics
- Preparing for client meetings and completing post-meeting actions
- Producing illustrations, product comparisons and supporting documentation
What We're Looking For:
The successful Paraplanner will ideally have:
- Strong experience working as a Paraplanner within a financial planning environment
- Excellent report writing skills and the ability to produce clear, accurate and client-focused documentation
- Good technical knowledge across life, pensions and investment products
- The ability to analyse existing financial arrangements and provide appropriate technical support
- Experience managing cases through to completion
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of compliance
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- The ability to work collaboratively with Advisers, administrators and the wider practice team
A Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning is desirable, although candidates without the qualification will also be considered where they can demonstrate strong relevant Paraplanner experience.
Desirable Skills:
- Level 4 Diploma in Financial Planning
- Experience using Voyant for cashflow modelling
- Experience using Financial Express Analytics
- Strong knowledge of pensions, investments and protection
- Excellent suitability report writing skills
- Good understanding of the end-to-end advice process
- Previous experience supporting Advisers with technical queries
- Strong IT and back-office system skills
