Talent Finder is seeking a Paraplanner in Nottingham for a full-time role.

You will prepare suitability reports, conduct technical research and support Financial Advisers to deliver high-quality client outcomes.

Essential experience includes 2–5 years in financial planning, a Level 4 qualification, and proficiency with FE Analytics, Intelliflo, and other planning tools.

Qualifications

• 2-5 years experience within the financial planning industry, including at least 2 years experience in paraplanning.
• Working towards, or already holding, a Level 4 Financial Planning qualification.
• Strong understanding of financial planning processes, compliance requirements and audit trails.
• Experience using FE Analytics Dynamic Planner, Intelliflo, 4Admin, CashCalc and SelectaPension.
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and relevant financial planning systems.

Responsibilities

• Preparing suitability reports and review letters across a range of advice areas, including tax calculations, cashflow forecasting and switch analysis.
• Working closely with Financial Advisers to discuss client cases and suggest strategies.
• Carrying out product, fund and provider research to support client recommendations.
• Supporting with more complex new business cases, such as VCTs.
• Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately and compliant with policies.

Paraplanner | Nottingham | Full Time | Monday to Friday, 9am - 5pm | £30,000-£40,000 per annum DOE

Are you an experienced Paraplanner looking for a new opportunity within an established financial planning practice?

Our client is an Independent Financial Services Group Practice, established in 2001 and based in the Midlands. They specialise in all areas of financial planning for both corporate and individual clients across the UK.

The Role

As a Paraplanner, you will prepare suitability reports and review letters, carry out technical research, and work closely with Financial Advisers to support high-quality client outcomes.

The workload can vary, but you will typically complete approximately 3-5 suitability reports per week, dependent on complexity and level of research involved. This is alongside preparing review letters if workload allows. The main areas of advice include pensions, investments, retirement planning, inheritance tax planning, trusts, VCTs, annuities and business relief.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparing suitability reports and review letters across a range of advice areas, including tax calculations, cashflow forecasting and switch analysis
• Working closely with Financial Advisers to discuss client cases, identify missing information and suggest alternative strategies where appropriate
• Carrying out product, fund and provider research to support suitable client recommendations
• Supporting with the submission of more complex new business cases, such as VCTs
• Ensuring all documentation is completed accurately, recorded on the back-office system, and meets company policies, compliance standards and legislative requirements
• Liaising effectively with colleagues, product providers and third parties
• Supporting the wider Support Team, including providing assistance or training where needed
• Continuing to build your technical knowledge and understanding of financial planning advice

Requirements

Essential

• 2-5 years experience within the financial planning industry, including at least 2 years experience in paraplanning
• Working towards, or already holding, a Level 4 Financial Planning qualification
• A strong understanding of financial planning processes, compliance requirements and the importance of clear audit trails
• Experience using FE Analytics Dynamic Planner, Intelliflo, 4Admin, CashCalc and SelectaPension
• Confidence using Microsoft Office and relevant financial planning systems
• The ability to prioritise and manage your own workload, using your initiative with minimal supervision
• Clear, concise writing skills and excellent attention to detail
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of a team
• A flexible, organised approach and the ability to manage multiple priorities
• A proactive attitude towards learning, development and improving the client experience
