Job summary

PFAS is recruiting a Paramedic Functional Assessor for a Monday–Friday, on-site with hybrid flexibility in Bury St Edmunds. The role focuses on structured assessments, producing detailed reports, and applying clinical judgment to support fair decision-making within a regulatory framework.

Ideal candidates are registered healthcare professionals with strong clinical reasoning and the ability to interpret complex medical information, while comfortably using IT systems and MS Office.

Qualifications

• Must be a registered healthcare professional (RGN/RMN/RNLD/Paramedic/Physiotherapist/Occupational Therapist or Pharmacist)
• Strong clinical reasoning and report-writing skills required
• Familiarity with IT systems and MS Office expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct structured telephone, video or face-to-face assessments.
• Assess how a claimant’s condition impacts daily living.
• Review and interpret clinical evidence.
• Produce detailed, high-quality written reports.
• Apply professional judgement in line with regulatory standards.
