PFAS is seeking a Paramedic Functional Assessor for a Monday–Friday role based in Bury St Edmunds. The job offers hybrid working with a 90‑minute commute requirement and a starting salary of £42,985, plus a 10% bi‑annual bonus and an uplift of £2,000 in year one.

The role focuses on structured assessments and evidence‑based decision making, enabling you to apply clinical expertise without hands‑on shifts. Training and on‑going clinical support are provided.

Qualifications

• Recognised qualification as a registered healthcare professional (RGN/RMN/RNLD/Paramedic, etc).
• Current NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration is required.
• Membership with relevant professional body where applicable.
• Minimum 12 months' post‑qualification clinical experience.
• Eligibility to practise in the UK.

Responsabilités

• Conduct structured telephone, video or face‑to‑face assessments.
• Assess how a claimant's condition impacts daily living.
• Review and interpret clinical evidence.
• Produce detailed, high‑quality written reports.
• Apply professional judgment in line with regulatory standards.
• Work towards quality and productivity targets.
• Deliver assessments in a respectful, fair and reassuring manner.
