DWF is recruiting a Paralegal for its Major Injury & Casualty team in Glasgow or Edinburgh. The role focuses on pre-litigated claims across motor, casualty, and liability sectors, supporting fee earners on complex files.

You will work with insurers, clients, and third parties while ensuring compliance with deadlines and protocols. We value prior experience in Catastrophic Loss or Complex Loss environments, strong communication, and meticulous attention to detail.

Qualifications

• 6+ months paralegal experience is essential.
• Scottish law experience is essential.
• Experience in Catastrophic Loss or Complex Loss teams is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assist fee earners on files and support qualified lawyers on a diverse caseload for insurers pre-litigated claims from inception to resolution.
• Manage a caseload of pre-litigated claims from instruction to settlement.
• Investigate liability and gather evidence.
• Liaise with clients, insurers and third parties.
• Negotiate settlements and calculate damages.
• Ensure deadlines and pre-action protocols are met.
