Job summary

DWF Law LLP is seeking an Associate to join our Major Injury & Casualty team in Scotland. You will handle a varied caseload of litigated Personal Injury and EL/PL claims, including Court of Session work, under supervision.

The role demands strong litigation knowledge and client relationship skills. We offer a hybrid working model with flexibility to operate from Glasgow or Edinburgh, supporting growth through coaching and exposure to high-value cases.

Qualifications

2+ years experience handling own caseload of pre-litigated and Sheriff Court Personal Injury and EL/PL claims.
Experience managing EL, PL and Catastrophic Loss claims.
Insurance litigation experience is essential.
Scottish law and Scotland legal qualifications are essential.

Responsibilities

Managing and progressing a caseload efficiently and proactively.
Handling litigated Personal Injury and EL/PL claims in the Court of Session and the All-Scotland Personal Injury Sheriff Court, under supervision.
Applying strong technical knowledge of litigation, case law and legal principles.
Building and maintaining relationships with key clients.
Ensuring delivery against SLAs and best practice standards.
Supporting and taking ownership on complex, high-value cases.
Continuously developing your technical and commercial expertise.
Help coach, mentor and develop more junior members of the team.
