Job summary

Capsticks Solicitors LLP in Manchester is seeking a proactive paralegal to support partners and solicitors in housing and related casework. You will assist with file management, drafting correspondence, preparing reports, and liaising with clients while developing your legal skills.

The role offers a supportive team, training opportunities, and a clear path to progression within a nationally recognised practice. 2:1 degree and strong IT/communication skills are desirable.

Qualifications

  • A 2:1 undergraduate degree.
  • LPC or BVC qualification (LPC preferred but not essential).
  • Strong IT skills and ability to adhere to deadlines.
  • Strong written and communication skills.
  • Good administration skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting fee earners and working to a chargeable hours target.
  • General case management and drafting general correspondence and documents.
  • Preparing and drafting reports to the client and liaising with clients.
  • Carrying out Land Registry searches and submitting SDLT returns.
  • Proof reading documents and undertaking research.
  • Administrative tasks such as invoicing and supporting training where appropriate.
