Job summary

Capsticks LLP in Manchester is seeking a capable paralegal/legal assistant to support partners and solicitors in a busy housing and land matters team. You will assist with casework, manage documents, draft correspondence, and help prepare reports for clients in a hybrid working environment.

Qualifications

• A 2:1 undergraduate degree is required.
• LPC or BVC qualification preferred but not essential.
• Strong IT skills and attention to detail are essential.
• Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
• Good administrative abilities and time management.

Responsibilities

• Assisting fee earners on cases.
• Working to a chargeable hours target.
• General case management.
• Drafting general correspondence and documents.
• Preparing and drafting reports to clients.
• Liaison with clients and analysing evidence received to advise the client.
• Carrying out Land Registry searches.
• Submitting SDLT returns.
• Proof reading documents.
• Undertaking research.
• Administrative tasks such as invoicing.
• Supervision, support and relevant training will be provided, and initiative is encouraged.
