Job summary

Carpenters Group seeks a Paralegal Apprentice to support our Serious & Catastrophic Injury team. You will assist claims handlers with legal tasks and administrative duties, gaining exposure to a wide range of practice areas while studying the Level 3 CILEX Paralegal Apprenticeship.

Throughout the 18-month apprenticeship, you will learn to prepare cases for litigation, conduct basic legal research, and work closely with solicitors and managers to develop on‑the‑job skills, with internal training

Qualifications

• Minimum of two A-Levels and five GCSEs at grade C (or 4) or above, including English and Mathematics.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
• Enthusiastic and positive attitude with a willingness to learn.
• Highly organised and able to prioritise tasks according to urgency.

Responsibilities

• Deal with correspondence with clients, medical agencies, experts, insurers and other parties via email and phone.
• Produce, edit and draft legal documentation and standard forms.
• Handle confidential information in line with data security protocol.
• Assist claim handlers with progression and completion of client files.
• Carry out basic and supervised legal research.
• Use MS packages to produce reports and statistics.
