Job description

Our client is looking to hire a highly motivated Paralegal to join their EMEA Corporate Legal team, the role will be based in the London office. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive legal support to our corporate operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist the Company Secretarial Office with the preparation of Board and Committees meetings.
  • Provide company secretarial services to EMEA regulated corporate entities together with their branches.
  • Assist in drafting and maintaining corporate governance materials.
  • Support legal and regulatory submissions and commercial register applications/filings.
  • Deal with due diligence requests and general queries in relation to our clients EMEA entity information.
  • Liaise with external legal counsel, regulatory authorities, auditors as necessary.
  • Conduct legal research and analysis.
  • Monitor changes in relevant laws and regulations and communicate their potential impact.
  • Subject to successful candidate qualifications and experience, providing support in relation to commercial contracts, privacy and strategic projects.

Person Specification:

  • Law degree (LLB), or equivalent legal professional qualification, together with Legal Practice Course.
  • High attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

This is a cross-jurisdictional role for a self-motivated individual with strong work ethics who can work independently and within a team environment. Ideally the successful candidate will have familiarity with the investment banking industry and experience working in an international environment.
