The role of Paralegal sits within CU Corporate Services, a wholly owned sister company of Coventry University Group.
Coventry University's Legal Services team is seeking an enthusiastic, proactive, and committed paralegal to join our busy team on a 12 month, fixed term basis to cover maternity leave. You will contribute to the overall operation of the Legal Services Department by dealing with general legal queries, drafting, and reviewing standard commercial and academic/research documentation, assisting with contentious matters, and providing high level contractual/contentious advice together with general legal support. This is a fast paced, varied role as part of a supportive and collaborative team.
To be successful in this role you will need a degree level qualification (in Law or similar) or a first degree and postgraduate law qualification such as LPC or GDL. You will need to have previous experience in dealing with contract and commercial law in a paralegal or equivalent setting.
This role requires excellent communication skills and a high standard of overall professionalism, including discretion and sensitivity in dealing with confidential and sensitive matters. In this fast-paced environment, you will need to utilise accomplished self-management and prioritisation abilities to manage workloads and meet deadlines. As a successful candidate, you will have the ability to take ownership of your actions and demonstrate a proactive, solution-focused approach.
