Job description

This position assists the Eastern Hemisphere Legal team and Group Legal team, providing support in research and preparing legal documents and advice. The role plays a key part in the provision of legal services across the Group and business units.

The Legal team is responsible for all legal, corporate governance, and regulatory matters affecting John Wood Group PLC and its subsidiary and joint venture companies globally. Wood’s Legal Entity Rationalisation (LER) team needs dedicated legal support to assist in the closure and reorganisation of legal entities. We are seeking a highly motivated and organised paralegal to join our legal team to support the LER activities internationally. The paralegal will play a key role in all LER activities requiring legal support. This is an exciting opportunity for someone looking to further their career in the legal field and gain hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications:

• Legal, Legal Executive or Paralegal qualification necessary

Job Specific Experience:

• Paralegal experience as a corporate and/or securities paralegal or specialist at either a law firm or in-house legal department
• Experience in a variety of general domestic and international corporate legal matters, M&A transactions, commercial contracts, corporate governance
• Experience in the oil and gas industry (preferred)
• Microsoft Office, Excel and PowerPoint proficient

Knowledge of:

• Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and development
