Job summary

Straight-Line Group Services Ltd in Birmingham City Centre is seeking an experienced Panel Wirer to join the production, assembly and test facility. The role focuses on wiring and assembling panels for defence and industrial applications, with duties from light fittings to control cabinets.

You will work under the Production Manager, either independently or as part of a skilled team, reading GA drawings and ensuring high quality through careful workmanship.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in control panel wiring.
• Strong point-to-point wiring experience.
• Experience reading GA drawings and electrical schematics.
• Ability to read electrical diagrams and assembly instructions.
• Capable of working independently and managing workload.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

• Wire and assemble electrical products from light fittings to control panels.
• Carry out wiring, cable termination, crimping and soldering.
• Read GA drawings and wiring schematics to guide assembly.
• Complete mechanical and electrical assembly to a high standard.
• Use hand tools safely and efficiently while meeting production targets.
• Ensure work meets quality standards and production requirements.
