Job summary

Straight-Line Group Services Ltd is recruiting a skilled Panel Wirer for our Birmingham City Centre facility. You will join the production, assembly, and test team wiring and assembling products from lighting units to control and distribution panels for defence and industrial applications.

This role offers a permanent position with early finish on Fridays and opportunities for overtime. We're looking for an experienced panel wiring professional who can read GA drawings and electrical schematics,

Qualifications

Proven experience wiring control panels.
Strong point-to-point wiring experience.
Experience with cable termination, including crimping and soldering.
Ability to read GA drawings and electrical schematics.
Experience in electrical assembly and cable routing.
Able to work independently and manage workload.
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Responsibilities

Wire and assemble electrical products, from light fittings to control cabinets and distribution panels.
Carry out point-to-point wiring, cable routing, crimping, soldering, and cable termination.
Read and interpret GA drawings, wiring schematics, and mechanical drawings.
Complete mechanical and electrical assembly to a high standard.
Use hand tools and workshop equipment safely and efficiently.
Ensure all work meets company quality standards and production requirements.
