Job summary

Production Wiring Operative Required!

BE Recruitment are currently looking for a skilled Production Wiring Operative to join a well-established manufacturing company based in Leicester (LE5), supporting the PowerProve industrial load bank production line.

About the Role:

As a Production Wiring Operative, you will be responsible for the wiring of control panels and sub-assemblies, working from general assembly drawings and wiring schematics. You will play a key role in ensuring high-quality builds in compliance with internal standards and health & safety regulations.

Hours & Pay:

Monday - Thursday: 07:30 - 16:15
Friday: 07:30 - 12:30
Pay Rate: £14 - £15 P/H

Key Responsibilities:

• Wiring control panels and sub-assemblies from wiring schematics and general assembly drawings
• Performing mechanical tasks such as drilling, tapping, and punching
• Wiring between components and fitting components with correct fixtures
• Carrying out basic electrical testing and inspection
• Collaborating with design and manufacturing teams to resolve build or design issues
• Ensuring compliance with company procedures and safety regulations

Requirements:

• Previous experience in mechanical assembly and panel wiring
• Proven background in a manufacturing environment
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams
• Hold a relevant electrical qualification
• Competency using hand tools, crimpers, and power tools
• Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team
• Good communication and problem-solving skills
• Physically fit and comfortable with some manual lifting
