Job summary

INDOTH in Leicestershire is seeking an experienced Panel Wirer/Builder to join our engineering team on a full-time basis. You will build and wire electrical control panels, working from drawings and schematics.

The role requires reading electrical diagrams, installing components, terminating cables, and testing to maintain quality and safety standards. Previous panel wiring or electrical engineering experience is essential, with relevant NVQs or apprenticeships desirable.

Qualifications

• Experience in panel building and wiring using electrical drawings/schematics.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics.
• NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in related electrotechnical fields is desirable.

The role will involve:

• Building and wiring electrical control panels.
• Working from electrical drawings and schematics.
• Installing and wiring electrical components.
• Cable preparation, termination and testing.
• Using hand and power tools.
• Maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

The Ideal Candidate

You will have previous experience in panel building, panel wiring or electrical engineering, with the ability to read electrical drawings and work accurately.

Relevant qualifications or an apprenticeship are desirable:

• Level 3 NVQ in Electrotechnical Services – Panel Wiring / Panel Building.
• Level 3 NVQ in Mechanical Manufacture Engineering (Fitting & Assembly).
• A recognised apprenticeship in Panel Wiring / Panel Building.
• Equivalent relevant industry experience.
