Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd are recruiting for a busy accident repair centre in Sheffield. We seek an experienced Panel Technician or Panel Beater to perform high‑quality body repairs and panel replacements, restoring vehicles to pre‑accident condition across a range of makes, including prestige models, with a strong emphasis on quality workmanship.

Salary is £22‑£24 per hour, depending on experience, with an uncapped monthly bonus and an OTE of £60,000+.

Qualifications

• Experience as Panel Technician or Panel Beater.
• UK/EU driving licence.
• Experience in accident repair centre or automotive bodyshop.
• Knowledge of modern vehicle construction and repair methods.
• Attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Carry out vehicle body repairs and panel replacements to manufacturer standards.
• Assess accident damage and identify effective repair methods.
• Remove, repair and refit vehicle body panels and components.
• Complete structural and non-structural panel repairs.
• Work on prestige vehicles and ensure repairs meet manufacturer specifications.
• Collaborate with Paint and MET Technicians to ensure efficient repairs.
• Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop.

Are you an experienced Panel Technician or Panel Beater looking for a new opportunity with excellent earning potential?

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Panel Technician to join our client's busy accident repair centre in Sheffield.

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established automotive repair business, working within a busy, modern bodyshop alongside an experienced team of Paint, Panel and MET Technicians.

The workshop handles a high volume of accident repairs, working across a variety of vehicles including prestige and high-tech models. With excellent facilities, a consistent workload and an uncapped bonus scheme, this role offers the opportunity to earn £60,000+ while developing your career within a professional repair environment.

The Role - Panel Technician

Working within a busy accident repair centre, you will be responsible for carrying out high-quality vehicle body repairs and panel replacements, ensuring vehicles are restored safely and efficiently to their pre-accident condition.

• Carrying out vehicle body repairs and panel replacements to manufacturer standards.
• Assessing accident damage and identifying the most effective repair methods.
• Removing, repairing and refitting vehicle body panels and associated components.
• Completing structural and non-structural panel repairs.
• Working on a variety of vehicle makes and models, including prestige vehicles.
• Ensuring repairs meet manufacturer specifications and quality standards.
• Working alongside Paint and MET Technicians to ensure efficient vehicle repairs.
• Maintaining a clean, safe and organised workshop environment.

Requirements - Panel Technician / Panel Beater

The successful candidate will ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Panel Technician, Panel Beater or Automotive Body Repair Technician.
• NVQ Level 3, IMI Level 3 or equivalent qualification in Vehicle Body Repair.
• Alternatively, proven time-served experience as a Panel Beater.
• Strong vehicle panel repair, replacement and removal/refitting skills.
• Experience working within an accident repair centre or automotive bodyshop.
• Knowledge of modern vehicle construction and repair methods.
• Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to quality workmanship.
• A full UK or EU driving licence.

Experience working on prestige vehicles, manufacturer-approved repairs or modern vehicle repair systems would be advantageous.
